As a young child, I learned my ABCs through song. Later on, French vocabulary was locked in via catchy tunes in elementary school French classes. And as an adult, key Scripture verses are mine forever thanks to Keith Green and John Michael Talbot. So why not write some songs about flight theory, aero-engines, meteorology and aviation navigation? The regs for CARs could be easily memorized through a captivating melody, and a strong beat could form the backbone to a renewed ABCs, written to the phonetic alphabet, so we could all prepare for our radio test. For the rhythmically-musically intelligent flight student, such a collection would be a Godsend!
I guess the trouble is that most pilots and flight instructors are visual-spatial, rather than musically or even linguistically gifted. So for those of us who find our learning style and mode of intelligence is not a direct match, we are SOL.
Too bad… it could be so good. Imagine….
