A Cloudy Day - Monday, September 27, 2010
According to the TAF, visibility at 1700 ft would be greatly reduced. Since we usually fly at about 2300 ft, this is not so good. Also, I think there is something about you need to fly VFR at 500 ft below cloud cover which would put us outside the legal range for CN tower passage.
Anyway, we spent an hour going over Carb heat and such, which was actually fine, because a few things became somewhat less murkey for me once again.
Interestingly, my relief at not having to actually fly the plane again was mixed with a strange feeling of, shall we say, dissapointment at not getting to fly the plane. Ha! The thrill, the adrenaline of doing something that terrifies me.... Maybe what I need is a therapist, rather than a flight instructor!
Next lesson planned for Sat morning while the boys are at German school... Let's hope for clear, calm weather. :)
In the meantime, there is always Ground School!
