April 18 - SOLO Slow Flight
Finally, decent weather and the time to take advantage of it! Off to the Airport after work -- kids in tow with promises of snacks and "Airport Playground" time... got signed out and sent off to practise slow flight.
I carefully remembered to make all my radio calls at the right time, leaving the zone, out in the practice area, etc (though I sometimes forgot to mention ALT, and location reports were approximate at best, hehe). Took three stabs at slow flight, and stayed within 100 ft all three times. Next steps: Focus on keeping heading straight, not just airspeed, and stop being afraid of the stall warning horn!!! :-P
