Dec 23 - (Review) Instruments Straight & Level

Picture
Low ceilings and crappy horizon prohibited our grandiose plans to do more circuits/specialty landings and slow flight.  So we stuck with a review of instruments, specifically, straight and level flight.  It was fairly windy, and gusting 25 kts, so keeping the artificial plane on the line was a bit tricky.  Nevertheless, I practised the radial scan (mainly Attitude Indicator, and HI and ALT) for straight and level, and enjoyed some golden sunlight dancing on the water with grey wisps of cloud while my instructor took control of the plane for a bit.

With any luck, the next few days will also grant us flyable weather, and I can squeeze in a few more lessons.
