April 7, 2011 - CADOR
A CADOR is a "Civil Aviation Daily Occurance Report", generally issued when pilots (or student pilots) screw up in some way. The idea is the review anomolies (i.e. failing to hold short on a taxiway line when an instruction is given by tower to do so), in order to learn from "mistakes" or "occurances". Anyway, I got one!!! How embarasssing! It was about the 24 landing & backtrack from my last solo. So, poor Lari, who had just returned from his vacation, got to spend his first "lesson" back with me reviewing the occurance. Well, it was a good learning experience. When in doubt, contact tower and ask for clarification!!! Besides, the weather was crap -- no visibility, all kinds of fog/low-lying stratus clouds. So, we weren't going flying today anyway.
Hopefully sunday morning....
