my first 99's Hallowe'en party was an interesting adventure... one pilot (who does aerobatics!!!) came dressed as a "cold front"! :-)

Had the opportunity to drive a route I haven't driven much lately: Thanks to an after-school meeting at the university I still teach at part-time, I found myself on 427 north to 401 east during afternoon rush hour today, and was richly rewarded for my troubles by a large number of planes coming in for landing.
As I was stuck in traffic, the slow pace allowed me to plane watch, a pastime I love and get to do all too infrequently! The skies overhead were filled with aircraft of all sizes coming in on final in the "highway" above. Tearing my eyes off the overhead activity to watch the road ahead as I inched forward in my car, I wondered how many of my fellow drivers had had a chance to dissect, as I have, the wonder of flight at some point in their lives. Taking flying lessons sure has made the drive along the 401 a more pleasant adventure -- even (especially) in rush-hour traffic! |
Welcome to Vera's Flight Brain...Here I will attempt -- hopefully not in vain -- to share my connections to previous knowledge. Or I might share a few random thoughts loosely connected to flying, too, as well as any useful resources I may stumble across in my studies.
