Cablehead Airpark is a seasonal aerodrome, uncleared in winter, but perfect in summer, and just around the corner from St Pete's Harbour, in St Peter's Bay area. A 15 minute drive, in my estimation! You need permission to land, but that shouldn't be an issue.
Hmm.... wonder what kind of plane I need to learn to fly to make it worthwhile to get out there myself. (A C-150 would take at least 7 hours, I think. Hardly worth it just for lunch!!!)
