But more recently, I think I have a glimpse.
A lot of people probably equate the heavens with "Heaven", but it's different, really, when you are quite literally "in" it. I flew next to a cloud today, and had a chance to really examine the whisps and tentrils floating gently alongside its magnificent main body. And later, in the distance, I could see a dash of tangerine and gold spun together over the water. As we came closer, beams of light streamed down onto the water below.... and along the horizon, a thin strip of light defining the line between lake and sky. Earlier, over the water, my FI had pointed out a number of cumulous articulated against an azure blue sky over the lake, while next to us on the other side, the sky was by contrast a stratus/cumulous mix of assorted greys.
How could anyone not believe, in the presence of such breath-taking and endlessly diverse beauty? Surely, this Garden of Eden must be a sneak preview of "His courts" referenced above. All the lush greenery of the richest rainforest cannot compare with the rainbow of His palette in the sky!
His use of space, shape and form is magnificent! An eternal paradise, an un-ending... oops, it must end -- I am late for band rehearsal!!! :)
Gotta run....
