The Plane Took Off... But Not for Long!

10/24/2010

Oh, I am so proud of myself -- I successfully completed a weight and balance chart for a C150, ALL BY MYSELF!!!

To follow up my moderately successful flight lesson yesterday, I made myself do a ficticious weight and balance sheet today, using only my notes and my POH, no "calling a friend".  And... I did it!  I made the pilot and co-pilot 205 lbs each and threw in a bit of luggage just for fun, and did the math.

The plane could take off, however, with just under an hour's worth of fuel, it wouldn't get far.  So, two "robust" pilots could fly a couple of circuits, and that's about it.  Ha!

    Welcome to Vera's Flight Brain...

Here I will attempt -- hopefully not in vain -- to share my connections to previous knowledge.   Or I might share a few random thoughts loosely connected to flying, too, as well as any useful resources I may stumble across in my studies.
