It kind of reminds me of when I offer classroom management scenarios to my student teachers: "You're teaching a grade 3 class, and suddenly, you notice a parent appear in the back of the classroom. She begins rummaging around in various kids' backpacks, looking for her child's indoor shoes. The parent becomes increasingly accusatory and agressive. What do you do?" OR, "Two students wander in late from recess. The lesson has started, but they linger at the back, talking loudly and rudely about another student in the class. How do you handle this?" (True stories, btw!)
Interestingly, my strudent teachers have the luxury of solving these problems in small groups, picking each other's brains. I, on the other hand, had to do it while flying the plane! :)
